About the Webinar

The Format

Learn WordPress + Elementor is a LIVE Zoom meeting limited to 10 students. We’ll keep to the following syllabus, deviating as necessary. In addition, afterwards you’ll have access to a password protected recording of the entire session.

The Host (aka "Web Sensei")

The Syllabus

During the first 30 minutes, we’ll cover:

  • What is Elementor exactly?
  • What’s the difference between pages built with Elementor and pages built with the WordPress editor?
  • Recommended settings for WordPress and Elementor

To truly explore all the features of Elementor, we’ll work on building a website. This will allow us to hit these topics:

  • Global elements
    • Header and Footer
    • Templates
  • Adding content
    • Static pages
    • Blog posts
  • Miscellaneous items
    • Contact forms
    • Integrating with 3rd-party services (e.g. Google ReCaptcha, MailChimp, etc)
    • Using the Advanced Custom CSS option for fine-grained styling of widgets

We’ll close out our time fielding any questions you may have. Each webinar is limited to 10 participants to allow for ample interaction between you and me.

FAQs

Over the years I’ve had to answer this question less-and-less as WordPress has captured market share among web Content Management Systems (CMS). However, in case you haven’t heard, WordPress is website software that takes care of managing your website’s content. You can login to a WordPress site and build your pages, post your blog posts, and more. It’s wide uptake means you can easily find all manner of people to help you with your site, from adding content and configuring plugins to writing code to extend your site’s features.

Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder plugin for WordPress. During my 20+ years of building websites, I’ve found it to be the best-in-class solution for giving my clients the ability to edit and add content to their websites.

This webinar will teach you the basics and give you a solid foundation for building websites with WordPress + Elementor. You’ll be learning from a web veteran with 20+ years of experience building all manner of websites and web applications. That should greatly accelerate your learning as well as help you avoid common pitfalls.

However, understand that the skills I’ll be demonstrating have come through hours of applying my craft. Don’t expect to come away from this webinar as an “expert web developer”. Rather, this class will help you get comfortable working with this tech stack as well as expand your mind for further possibilities as to what you can build.

Where you go from here is up to you and your willingness to experiment and learn. If you need help as you continue your journey, I’m available for one-on-one consulting sessions to help you with specific solutions you may want to build.
